Every piece is the work of the person named in the byline, published here by arrangement. You may read it, link to it, quote a reasonable part of it with attribution, and print a copy for yourself. What we promise
That the archive stays up and the pieces stay as written, corrections aside. We do not promise the site will be reachable at any given moment, and we are not liable for what follows if it is not.
Corrections
Pieces are corrected in place, and a correction that changes the sense of a piece is noted at the foot of it. If you think something here is wrong, write to the editorial address on the masthead.
Links out
A link to another site is not an endorsement of it, and we have no say in what it publishes after we link to it.
Changes
These terms can change. The date at the top of this page says when they last did. Continuing to read the site after that is how you accept the new version.
